We may have opened our first eatery in 1954, but the Carbone family story goes back more than 80 years. Alfonso and Antoinette Carbone came to America in the 1920s and soon opened up a small Italian grocery on the east side of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Just moved to the area and wanted to give it a try. Looked at the menu online and ordered a buffalo chicken pizza w/ blue cheese for carry out. Got home and it was BBQ. Okay, simple mistake. So I called to have them fix it for me but was rudely told they don't have buffalo.. went back to the store for a refund since I was unable to eat, but was refused one and offered a free cheese pizza?!! Okay....
Always a great pizza, what a treat! I am never disappointed. I have been going there since I was in high school!( many years have passed since then ) 😂
The people there were nice yesterday was my first time there and I would recommend them

Grew up 2 blocks away and have not been back to the 7th and Maria locacation in at least 30 years. moved to florida 21 years ago. However when i come to Minnesota to visit family I allways have to have a Carboner's pizza or hot Dago or a calzone, My family goes nuts becuse I allways ask them to send me pizza to florida or I bring back in luggage 10 pizza. I even had 5 Pizza's conviscated from at MSP :) Best Pizza in the world!
It's been 30 years since the last time I was at carbone's. I asked my husband since we're in town and close by can we go there. I WASEN'T disappointed . Just as incredibly good as I rembered.have to make sure it dosent take 30 years to get back agian.
I grew up in St. Paul; As a young kid, I remember my whole family eating often at Carbone's on 7th and Maria... Loved the service and the food! Their pizza is without a doubt the BEST! Our waitress, Paige, was awesome and made our dinning experience even better! She ROCKED! :). Tom Burianek, Dayton Ohio
