We may have opened our first eatery in 1954, but the Carbone family story goes back more than 80 years. Alfonso and Antoinette Carbone came to America in the 1920s and soon opened up a small Italian grocery on the east side of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Equipped with old family recipes and a passion for making food for their community, the Carbone family quickly became known for their signature Italian dishes -- and so the first of Carbone's Pizzerias was born in 1954. Today, walking into Carbone's is still like coming home to Grandma's kitchen.
