After reading the reviews left here and way after I booked the room. They still haven't put the $25 valet fee on the web site. I counted at least 8 parking spots. Homeless people every where. Doors barely worked, old mirrors (reflection foil coming off), paper thin walls and floors/ceilings (heard kids partying all night) this place fucking sucked. Cool thing is it's walking distance from all of the bars.
Asked for a King Sized / ADA Accommodated bed and instead they “upgraded” me to have a fridge and microwave. Never told me. Just did it. Another bad, cheap experience.
The room was fine and breakfast ok. Pool was dirty. They have valet parking but being I am handicap and there were two hc parking spaces right outside our door we asked to park there for easy entrance for me. We were told they needed those spaces for some oversized trucks and would need to park our car else where. This goes against ADA and we told them. They didn't care.
Room was clean. Was under renovation in Lobby! Actually there really was not a big lobby. Breakfast bar was plentiful.
$27 to valet & its valet only. Roach in the bathroom. Rooms open directly to outside. Check in area looked like an underground gambling room. Worst La Quinta I've ever been to.
Very unhappy. Where do I start? There is only valet parking and it's $25 per day to park. This is not the Hilton. Only one person at desk with about 15 people in line. Their reservation system is malfunctioning causing even further delays. The place is being renovated and the lobby is beyond hot and cramped. La Quinta used to be associated with quality. Maybe just not the downtown Austin location. Not booking LQ again if I can help it.
We currently are staying at this hotel, and have had a WONDERFUL experience. The hotel is clean and the big rooms have comfortable beds. The staff is kind and helpful with breakfast included. Make sure you bring your own lotion though as you only get soap and a shampoo conditioner combination. It is not fancy, but very clean and comfortable with a great location.
