Recommended5 ⭐️ for CHP Urgent care yesterday. My daughter got a pretty serious laceration on her leg. I avoid the ER at all costs so on my way out of our driveway I called the CHP Urgent Care line and asked if they were able to do sutures to which they replied yes. When the nurse called me back to set up an appointment I told her I was turning into their parking lot so she told me to come on in. When I needed surgery, I was denied based on a BMI scale where I didn't meet their criteria. I haven't been able to work in going on a month due to pain and swelling in my knee. All I want is my knee fixed so that I can get back to living my life and back to work. I have never been more humiliated and worthless in my life. Thanks CHP.
When there is a problem that goes further than talking to Member Services, upper management won’t talk to you or return calls. They only make you talk to Member Services. Nothing is every resolved. The Care Coordinators make the decisions based on false information and/or misunderstandings and they are Nurses. They refuse to look at any further documents sent from a Hospital about a patient. A bunch of suits must have sat down together and said, "what mail order pharmacy has the worst rating? Let's force our customers on long term medications to use them! Maybe they'll just die instead of getting their meds, then we won't have to pay."
No surgical masks available as you enter, and it's Flu season. I guess they figure if you pick up a germ while here, it's just more job security. I even asked 2 nurses and was told they don't offer them. We did have a wonderful physician, Dr. Gunter. He is very thorough and has a great personality.
Wife had a 2pm appointment at Capital Health Plan Urgent Care with a temp of 102. I sat in the car with our 2week old for an hour and a half watching people park go inside, to return after 20 or so minutes...meanwhile, wife's temp spiked to 105 while waiting over an hour for care.
