The atmosphere of the surgical floor is amazing!! I'm usually nervous but because they actually speak to you, that makes this hospital a five star in my book�
The hospital experience was excellent but the ER visit was a joke! I understand there is a lot of sick people in this world nowadays but the sad part is that when you feel bad enough to go to the ER somebody there should make it their job to console us a LITTLE BETTER! I went by ambulance there with chest pains. The could have eased my conscience a little more if they would have told ME what was going on with my health! The janitorial service is very poor. My family member has been in CAMC Memorial for two weeks. Within those two weeks, the waiting room I was staying in the trash was never changed, the floors were not swept or mopped, and the bathroom was rarely touched. For the most part, the staff was great. It wouldn't hurt if they could have a bit more respect for the patients. I was their for my regular doctor appointment it went as well as expected everyone was nice as usual my doctor visit in the Medicine Clinic.
Went to the ER with a very ill Daddy. Was treated very well by ER Nurse Annette. Was put in a room in SICU where the staff made me feel very confident leaving him in their capable hands to go home and rest for the night. Two days later, moved to intermediate care on 4 West. ALL needs were met and exceeded! Even though it was a holiday weekend, Memorial day, you couldn't ask for any better caregivers. Too many excellent nurses to name them all. Went in yesterday because I wasn't feeling well, very nice and fast response, I was really impressed no waiting... I'm not for sure my doctor gave me the right diagnose because I still feel like crap today, I don't like the medicine it makes my head all stopped up, feel woozy, couldn't get to sleep, I finally felled off to sleep and I dreamt about all kinds of things that I didn't even make any sense...
