Ate here yesterday. First heard about Buxton Hall from Andrew Zimmern. If he recommends it has to be good. Best pulled pork I have ever had. Everything was delicious and prompt fast service on a busy Friday night.
Great food, clean and spacious establishment, wonderful service. We especially enjoyed the hush puppies and Bourbon � Slushie-their specialty drink.

Atmosphere Great, Too much BBQ sauce on the ribs and the ribs didn't excite me at all .

Anybody that doesn't like whole hog BBQ doesn't understand how BBQ had been made for years and years. Only about 2-4 percent of BBQ is even done this way anymore. Buxton's BBQ is spot on good and the fried chicken sandwich is as good as it gets. There is a reason Elliott Moss was nominated for James Beard award for 2017 for best chef southeast. The side dishes like the collards are addicting.
Thanks to Andrew Zimmern and the travel channel for this find. Great Smokey barbecue. Homemade dishes were fabulous. Desserts were fantastic. A must stop on your travels
