We had a good experience. ABout 8:00 on Thursday night. Only about a 15 minute wait. Very nice waiter, good service, our meal was out quickly. My friend got the BBQ sandwich and the RC Cola beans. BBQ awesome with great lean meat, beans good. I got all veggies. Lima/butterbeans, rice and collards all very good. Great atmosphere as well and a good beer/wine and cocktail list. Did not get a dessert, but they looked amazing!
Best fried chicken sandwich I think I've ever had. No wonder it was featured in Bon Appetit. The pulled pork was moist, but lacked flavor. The red sauce was absolutely amazing. It was obviously made with pan dripping and had a wonderful flavor. It made the pork absolutely delicious. White BBQ sauce was great also. Overall, it was a great experience. Our waiter was very nice and even let us look at the hogs cooking on the huge wood smoker. Definitely worth a visit.
Disappointed. Not up to the hype. Everything tasted extra spicy. Will not return to this restaurant.

If I were a menu, I'd be the menu at buxton hall. We arrived in Asheville pretty late so we didn't get to buxton hall until 8pm. We decided to skip the pork plate for another day. We got the BBQ hash, catfish sandwich, pimento cheese, chicken sandwich, chicken bog and some more sides. We like to eat. It's pretty hard not to try and order everything. Oh yeah.
