Mediocre. Not sure how it got rave reviews online. The pork bbq is just ok. The chicken was bad - dry and like they don’t know what to do with chicken. Their original sauce was decent but not good enough to make the meats great. The potato salad was disappointing. Green beans were weird and spicy - not traditional southern style. The desserts were tasty but they went past innovative and into strange. Hush puppies were disappointing, but the spicy creamy sauce served with them was the highlight of the meal. Service was good.

Good food great service. Parking a bit of a nightmare for out of towners but, that was the only downside. Download the Passport Parking App before you go and then no issues.
Was disappointed at first that they didn't have ranch but the white bbq sauce was really good on the fries. Chicken was good. Mashed potatoes were ok. But the pulled pork. They could not have put more pepper in it if they tried. I tried putting every sauce on it to drown it out but it was almost inedible. The beans too. Awesome place to eat! Cheerwine Bourbon Slushie is the bomb!! The most incredible waitress works there named Casey!! She is a treasure!!
This place is AAAHHHMAZING!!! The spirit and beer selection is amazing. The food is so so good!! My mom and i are picky BBQ eaters so give 5 stars!! They also donate to Haywood Church which I've spend 3 summers at, helping and it literally warms my heart so much! Ask for Casey when you're there for a heart warming smile too!!

Buxton had been on my list for a while and I finally checked it out on a day trip to AVL this past weekend. This place was awesome! Great drink selections, very cool atmosphere, and stellar service. I personally did not have any BBQ, but I did have the hushpuppies, fried chicken sandwich w/ collards, and a slice of banana pudding pie. I will definitely be back!
A must if you are in Asheville! Absolutely fantastic
