The wait, had been here several times before. I understand eastern NC whole hog BBQ , it is in my blood. Just hated the fact this was my wife's first experience....not a cook to order establishment. Watched others get seated before us, and understandable to a point for a Friday. Shaking my head and thankful for Catawba Brewing being next door. I feel for the retired State Trooper and family who walked out because of the, appreciate the conversation. I will attest to this, the food is good.
Dustin was a great server!! He made our experience great from the start, and the amazing food was the icing on the cake! A++!
Great sides, awesome desserts. The bbq was a little plain but the sauces made up for it. Buttermilk chicken was a winner.
Our waiter / bartender was great! Very friendly and efficient. The fried chicken sandwich and grilled peaches were delicious. Almond flour bread with blackberries for dessert and yum yum yum 😋
Random google of BBQ in the town. Easy walk from our hotel. Surrounded by 10 breweries. Didn’t have a table for us but took our number and we got a text to come get a table. All very friendly staff and the food was even better. Thanks Buxton Hall BBQ!
I don’t usually take the time to give reviews and I really feel as though there aren’t words good enough to describe Buxton Hall BBQ. I am very picky about barbecue and am always skeptical since many restaurahts claim to have the best yet tend to over smoke their product leaving it tough, with no flavor other than smoke. Recommendedvery good pull pork and enjoyed the ribs sides !!!!!
It was all great. Decor was fun,service was splendid. Whole Hog Pulled Pork Plate was fine. A had a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich the little lady had a Whole Hog BBQ Sandwich. Collards cornbread pimento & cheese was good. The finale warm peach pie was delicious
The mussels appetizer is everything billed and more.
