The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

I visited yesterday and I must say even though the Food was Very Good , the Customer Service was 10x's Worst!! The hostess/ Greeter Angelique was very Rude and unprofessional . When we arrived and asked how long was the wait for takeout we were informed 30-45 mins after waiting over an hour I asked how much longer will it take because I had a flight to catch. I am a great cook and when I eat out I always critique the food and service. I tasted the food at Busy Bee and closed my eyes because it tasted like I was sitting at my grandma table. My son was there and he was like she haven't said one word this is the first time she didn't have something negative too say. I give props where they are due and I give Busy Bee a 10. Second time at Busy Bees and it did not disappoint! Wait is long but food is delicious!
Best soul food in Atlanta. Everything was seasoned just right . The item that most impressed me was the potato salad, It tasted the same as what my grandmother made ! 😎
Food was great and so were the staff! We'll be back next time we're in Atlanta.
