The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

This has got to be one of the worst soul food restaurants I have ever been too. The Mac n cheese was not good at all. My momma make better Mac and cheese than that! The yams were terrible and the chicken was dry! The customer service was terrible. The cashier had a terrible attitude. The place is too small. Y'all had people grandma's standing outside waiting! The wait is not worth y all food. Just throw the whole place away, start over, and try again! First and last time going to this place! It's a whole no!
I was looking for some good, home-cooked food while visiting Atlanta. This Busy Bees restaurant was with the trip; congested traffic and all. It was surprisingly small, and the line was long inside but it was worth the wait. People were staring at me because I guess I wasn’t a regular, but everyone was kind and cordial. I ordered the fried chicken, sweet potatoes, greens and cornbread, since I’d waited so long I ate at the bar. Omg, you have to visit for yourself. Home cooked, Soul Food deliciousness.
