The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

This is my spot for southern food. If you’re in a hurry call in ahead of time for some take out but if you can wait a little ( because it’s a small spot that stay busy) sit down and enjoy some good ol soul food. I’ve had the whole menu and everything is awesome. But my go to are the smothered pork chops
I ordered the food to go. Delicious turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and EXCELLENT peach cobbler!♥️ Just on the outskirts of the AUC (Clark Atlanta, Spelman, Morehouse)...
Love this place!!! A little small and sometime over crowded but worth the wait. ❤️😋
Home style cooking for 6 piece of fried chicken with 2side plus a drink cost me $19 it was a good experience that I can mark of my places I been 😊
