The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

Great food!!! Very small space and had to wait 1 hour, but it was worth it!!
went to busy bee cafe for the first time yesterday because we heard it's the best fried chicken in town... went around 6:15pm and half of the tables were available and there was some bar seating. after we sat, there were more folks coming in but it wasn't incredibly packed. we ordered each the half fried chicken dinner with two sides and it was delicious! the portions were great and def saved half of our meals for lunch today. not only was the food good for the soul, the service was great too. everyone was incredibly friendl... read more

The absolute best soul food in Atlanta other than my own!! If I cant cook it, this will be the only place I go to eat it!!! Only downside is the wait!! 2 1/2 hrs!! But momma was happy and we were celebrating her 83rd birthday. She said it was worth the wait!

Real, authentic Soul Food where all the locals go. The Fried Catfish is great, but the Fried Chicken is amazing! Super Friendly staff that works hard to make sure you have the best experience.
This was my first time here and the food was amazing and the staff was very nice and friendly. I will definitely be back.
