About this business

This Pan-Asian nightspot centers around a 10½-foot gilded Buddha. Buddakan features glistening decor accented by wasabi-colored booths, two full bars, plenty of sofas for lounging, along with a 20-person community table where you can share food and conversation with friends. Chef Scott Swiderski has created a whirlwind tour of the Pacific Rim in menu form, from Garlic Grilled Shrimp with Long Life Noodle to Wok Smoked Salmon to Szechuan-crusted Tuna with wasabi sour cream.

The food was incredible as always but the evening didn't start out well ... with multiple other tables open and available we were seated basically in the kitchen with a screen behind my seat ... so loud we couldn't even speak to each other ... ended up having to sit at the bar to eat ... beyond that it was fine ... food and drink was wonderful! Highly recommend the ribs appetizer and the duck for dinner!

Great food. We ordered three entrees for four and we had leftovers. Loved the Peking Duck and ginger cake dessert. My Grand daughter would not share her donuts and wants to know when we are going back

Food and drinks were delicious, fresh and flavorful. I had the crispy calamari salad and the jumbo prawns with caramelized walnuts. For drink i ordered a couple Joy. They were sweet but it was a great mix with the food.

Mark, our Waiter is incredible. Knowledgeable and the description of cocktails and entrees were spot on! I will say, however, Mark's assistants were probably a little too enthusiastic to take glasses, plates etc., from appetizers, entrees and 2nd+ round of drinks off of our table, which was distracting. I've never experienced that at Buddakan before. The food is consistent and the calamari salad and Sea Bass is amazing. Still one of my favorites in the City of Philadelphia and New York City.
