This Pan-Asian nightspot centers around a 10½-foot gilded Buddha. Buddakan features glistening decor accented by wasabi-colored booths, two full bars, plenty of sofas for lounging, along with a 20-person community table where you can share food and conversation with friends. Chef Scott Swiderski has created a whirlwind tour of the Pacific Rim in menu form, from Garlic Grilled Shrimp with Long Life Noodle to Wok Smoked Salmon to Szechuan-crusted Tuna with wasabi sour cream.

Great discovery for me in Philly. Near Independence Hall in the historical section.
Amazing service and food. One of my favorite places to eat anywhere!
It's difficult to imagine that almost 20 years have passed since Buddakan opened it's doors. So, recently when friends suggested that we dine at Buddakan, needless to say, I was a bit skeptical. Could it still be as great as it was? Well, indeed it is! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. What a delightful evening. It was a joy to find this beautiful restaurant so unchanged after so many years. BRAVO, BUDDAKAN ! 👏👏👏👏👏
Excellent food and ambiance.
Great atmosphere and delicious
We had a fantastic family meal there last night celebrating my son's high school graduation. The service and food were excellent. We left a personal item behind, and the staff called the phone numbers they had for me through my Open Table account to let us know it will be safely held for pick up. So, fabulous food and fabulous service, can't ask for more.
We had one of the tasting menus and it was awesome. 11 main courses and four desserts. The service was excellent and we followed our servers recommendation for the tasting menu. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the music they played. Sort of techno, and it was loud. Really prevented conversation about the great tasting food.
Charred steak was very good though small portioned. The shrimp dumplings and egg rolls were excellent. The Bourbon pour was very skimpy for the price $15. The wine pour was just as lousy. If your charging top $, instruct the bartenders to give a drink that isn’t gone in a sip.
Always one of my favorites for the last 15 years.
