We have been with State Farm for 27 years, We have both auto and home owners with them. We started with 1 agent and when he retired we didn't get to chose an agent but found out that we had been sent to another agent. We were told about this by letter, being a young couple we just went with it. We had no problems and we did have 1 auto claim and 2 homeowners during this time. After paying over $150.000 over 20 years on car insurance State Farm completely failed me. Is a very long story, that includes mistakenly cancel one of my cars without any reason or permission, failing to notify me of the mistake and having my DL and registration almost canceled. Let's just said that the most incompetent and rude person Marjorie *******works at George M***** State Farm in H********* *** My best advice is: Stay away from State Farm. *****offers better coverage for less money.

I had insurance with this company for 7+ years to find out I have been paying way too much for my policies, and my insurance kept going up. I will be canceling my renters as soon as it hits the renewal period ever since I took my auto policies elsewhere my bill has been inaccurate and its really annoying when you cant talk to the insurance company, you can only talk to your agent who has to call the insurance company to find out for you it's just a big run around they are great if you like to pay an extra $200 a month.

Originally I was quoted $21.51 a month for liability on my truck and opted to pay every three months out of convenience. Each time I went into the Carson City, NV office the payment was different from the last time. When asked why there was a difference from visit to visit I was fed nonsense about credits. Clay M***** told me that his records showed that I had made monthly payments previously. This is not true and I wonder how many falsehoods were sent my way in the past. Hello ********friends, I am sending this message to all my friends today, because I need some help. Many of you know that my family owns a printing business here in Chicago. We had a fire last February, which resulted in a total loss. State Farm our insurer started processing the claim immediately. Recently, my step daughter was hit from behind by a driver that was pulling into a gas station at a high rate of speed and probably not paying attention. My stepdaughter was slowly backing up at the time (as she is a safe driver... no accidents, no tickets, after logging 10,000 plus miles). worse insurance company ever. Not only was i told one thing by an direct agent but i was tole several different stories from their underwriting department. Only to have my policy cancelled cause they said they do not offer sr-22's 3 days later. Now after waiting 7-10 days per their policy my refund has not be issued an my policy is still active. now im being told that they wont even process my refund til basically the day before the policy is about to be renewed.stay away they will just take your money and do nothing in the ... read more

-10 stars!!! I have closed out my business account over 5 months ago, I've gotten audit, harassed for monthly and collection payments till now. It very frustrating and time consuming. To make matters worse my lousy agent and secretary are being rude never calling me back to resolve this matter. They were so quick to meet and take my yearly payments and since I cancelled my policy she won't even so much as answer the d*** phone. Burn state farm if my credit get ruined you bet you will lose a whole lot more than my business.

It is absolutely disgusting that being a customer with multiple polices with State Farm for over 20 years means absolutely NOTHING to this company. You have basically stolen thousands and thousands of dollars from us over these 20 years, that you NEVER had to pay out until 3 years ago when I had my very first accident. And now you are considering NOT renewing my policy next year because of this. Horrible!
