Dr. Baird from start to finish was informative and professional. Helped me to a full recovery. Able to perform a 7ft leap and achieve a 6min/1mile after surgery and recovery
Business response:
I must say your demonstration of. 7 foot standing leap in office was stunning. Most people can't do that (myself included) & haven't had lumbar fusion! Best wishes your new career @ Customs.
Dr. Bruce L. Baird and his staff quickly diagnosed my herniated disk. The office went above and beyond with my diagnoses and treatment. Being in pain is not fun… after surgery my nurse asked if I was ok because I was crying. I replied “These are happy tears my pain is gone.” I am now in recovery and every day I am feeling stronger and better. My personal goal is to be riding my horses, and I feel confident this will happen. Many thanks to Dr. Bruce Baird and his staff I will be forever grateful.
Business response:
Thank you so much! Seeing patients have experiences like this is what drew me to Orthopaedics & spine surgery. Best wishes!
I had l4/l5 spinal fusion and lamanectomy performed by Dr Baird on 3/20/18. Just had my 2 week post op checkup and everything is doing quite well. Dr. Baird is a highly skilled surgeon with the patients needs and concerns being his first priority. We are lucky up here in the north country to have a surgeon of his caliber and to know that we need not have to travel out of the area for this type of surgery. The care I received at SMC was wonderful and much easier for myself and family. ??
Business response:
Thanks, Cheryl... be careful in that pool!! ;)
Just an excellent surgeon and doctor. Dr. Baird is not on a clock when he meets with his patients. He takes whatever time is necessary to ensure that he fully understands his patients needs and concerns. He also takes the time necessary to explain the patients condition and recommended actions. He has replaced my wife's hip and both of my hips and one knee. I am now at age 80 in better physical shape than I was at age 50. We both have no pain and have full mobility. Also a top back surgeon.
Business response:
You Panama Canal photo still hangs in my office!
My companion is 82years young, suddenly lost control of legs and was very weak. Dr. Baird found herniated discs in his neck. Everyone thought he should be in a nursing home but chose to be operated on. Now 6 weeks after surgery and acute pt, he is home and doing great. Forever thankful, Adams, NY
I fell on the ice on a Friday evening and when I was in the ED discovered I fractured my right radial head. By Monday morning I was seeing Dr. Baird. Not only was Dr. Baird very kind, but he also explained and demonstrated what I had to do to get range of motion back in the elbow. I started these exercises right away, and by the time I got to PT my Physical Therapist was amazed at how much I had accomplished in a short period of time. I would highly recommend Dr. Baird to anyone.
EMS brought me to Samaritan Hospital after a fall had seriously dislocated my left elbow. After x-rays/tests found no broken bones or nerve/artery damage, Dr. Baird explained my condition and how he would attempt to fix it via a procedure called "elbow reduction." When I awoke from anesthesia, my elbow/arm was back in a normal position. He then fitted me with a splint and sling, prescribed painkillers and told me what to do before I got home to CT and saw a doctor. Dr. Baird was wonderful.
After multiple treatments for my neck pain radiating into my right hand, I met with Dr Baird. He was professional and took the time to listen to all of my concerns. In October 2016 he performed an ACDF and immediately all of the pain in my right arm and the majority of the pain I had in my neck/upper back for the past 20+ years had resolved. Nine months after my surgery, my only regret is not having it done sooner. My quality of life has improved significantly and I cannot thank Dr Baird enough!
Before I had my neck fused, I had terrible headaches EVERY day, I also had pain going down my right arm. On March 31 Dr. Baird preformed surgery on my neck. He fused 3 sections of my cervical spine and removed a bone that was floating around rubbing on the other bones. I had my 8 week check Thursday. I no longer have to wear the neck brace. Since surgery I have not had even 1 headache and no pains in my right arm. I will defiantly recommend Dr. Baird to my family and friends.
Business response:
So glad you are doing well. Thank you for the privilege (of helping both of you)! Sometime I need to learn some fishing skills from Ron :)
