About this business

This cafe was one of the first restaurants to bring the mixture of Manhattan chic and Southern comfort to the Atlanta dining scene. The interior is decorated in a comfortable modern style with photographic reminders of the borough. The place gets pretty busy and loud on weekend nights, but the service remains efficient, and the food more than makes up for the high decibels. Favorites include the hearty pasta dishes, the tender veal and the very extensive wine list. Call-ahead seating is offered instead of reservations.

First time visitor today- shared a variety of things with my mom and sister. Service was excellent. Reuben was classic with a spin on some homemade kraut and sauce. Delish. Crab cakes and artichokes were also top notch, highly recommend and will be back ASAP!

Nice atmosphere, and good service. Ribs were tender but way too much sauce. Same with Jacks creole, way too much sauce, chicken portion was small and overcooked. Sausage was good, but small portion. Best part of this plate was the rice.

We absolutely love their crab cakes. Last night we shared a cup of yummy lobster bisque and the fig and walnut salad. Then we each had our own crab cake salads. Outrageously delicious and plenty of food for a hearty couple.

Highlights for our group included the fig and walnut salad, lamb chops, crab cakes, and boneless short ribs. I appreciate the absence of fillers in the delicate crab cake but I might ask for the mustard on the side next time. The ribs and the lamb were perfect. I don't usually choose chocolate cake but our table shared one. I was impressed by the high quality cocoa taste, and and the accompanying milk shots are a nice touch. The pecan crust on the rich key lime pie was delicious, as was the coffee. The wait staff was attenti... read more

A neighborhood gem and worth a Uber fee for the food and an excellent bar. If you like smoke salmon, definitely order at Brooklyn Cafe. Jeff, brings in very good to excellent wines which Rob behind the bar pours along with making an excellent martini. The specials are very good and the service is second to none. I go usually once a week if not more and do not forget they are open for lunch. Monday through Saturday.
