My experience with Dr. Cole was excellent. He is very honest, understanding, approachable and listens to the patient. He presented me with treatment options and let me make the final decision with no pressure.
Dr. Cole and his PA, Kevin Shinsako, are outstanding. I always feel like they pay attention to every detail in my name problems and history. They are going to try to help me find a non-surgical route to treat my knee pain, despite having an ACL tear decades ago. It takes patience and they’ve been showing it with me. Looking forward to another successful meeting next week for an HA shot.
I just returned from my follow up visit after having reconstructive ACL surgery on June 26th. I fought having to have this procedure done for just about 2 years trying to go the non surgical route, and finally moved forward with getting it done. Don’t put it off if you need a repair to your rotator cuff or bison Dr. Brian J Cole M.D. at Midwest orthopedics at Rush is the place to be. The great care and treatment that they give you I’ve not seen it at any other facility and after the surgery the constant care and tax for encouragement and for any questions that I might have or any problems that I might encounter I find that’s the way the doctors office should operate always. Dear Doctor Cole, I wanted to again Thank Doctor Cole and his staff for always giving me excellent care. You have helped me overcome two setbacks and each time I have recovered stronger. I was so depressed after tearing my ACL during my sophomore season of high school. However, I returned better than before. When I first met Dr Cole he informed me that the pain and lack of mobility in my shoulders was due to arthritis. He recommended a total shoulder replacement,he explained what the procedure would entail and the expected outcome , six weeks post surgery no pain and my mobility gets better every day. Dr. Cole was great from the initial consult, set realistic expectations and explained the procedure in detail. Surgery day was well planned and everything went flawlessly. I was weight bearing immediately following my ACL reconstruction surgery and happy to report that 7 weeks post op, my knee/leg function for non ACL engaging activities is at 100%.
At the age of 43 I had severe end stage arthritis in both shoulders. I had had numerous previous surgeries for a variety of shoulder ailments. The last resort was to have a total shoulder replacement on both shoulders. It was very important to me to have a doctor who was highly rated and very competent in the procedure. I waited appt 15 min to see Dr Cole who was very personable and upfront that I was not a candidate for the procedure I was hoping to have but quickly referred me to an associate whom he thought would be able to help. Since I had driven 3 hours his staff quickly got me into the other Dr within 30 min. I appreciate his honesty that he himself could not help me but helping me to find an alternative so quickly!!
