We had the clam chowder in the breadbowl of course. Very good! Upstairs dining over looking the Bay was awesome. The menu had a nice selection of food plates which I wish I could have sampled. Next time. This place was very busy so plan ahead.
Food is very good all based on their signature sourdough. Long lines but it moves quick. Pizzas and sandwiches and salads all very good
Truly an exceptional experience. Of course we had the clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl. The rest of the meal we elected to have the crab omelette it was excellent. Our waitress was super friendly. We were there on Labor Day weekend so was pretty crowded but it was worth the wait.
Awesome place, great food and atmosphere. Would DEFINITELY return the next time I'm in San Francisco!
I absolutely love everything about it! The smell of bread baking brought back good memories. The service was friendly and comfortable. We had a table of 4, and everyone was pleased with their order. I'm going back next time I'm in San Francisco.
Very bad service and rude staff. Too much bread on any sandwich that they made. Food was not great this time!! I think you need to train your staff.�
Really fun place! I loved all the different items in the store. The smell of sourdough bread was awesome. We bought two loaves of bread and a cinnamon roll. The bread is fabulous!!! We went back for grilled cheese sandwiches. That were so good. The service was ok. The guy who helped us wasn't thrilled to be there and hardly looked in our direction. Totally worth the stop though!!!
Expensive, but that San Francisco for u. Really good food, fresh bake break(They have a bakery down stairs) Fresh sea food. Love the chowder. What else can you ask when next to the bay.
