Best beef chili soup ever. One of my go-to locations for good food in SF.
Bread... AMAZING as expected. The pesto chicken sandwich... disappointing. The pesto spread was not very pesto-y and seemed to be mayo-based even though I asked the cashier if there was any mayo on the sandwich. I'm not a fan of mayo.
WAY OVERPRICED !!!! FOOD IS AWFUL AND SALTY OUR BREAD WAS LIKE BITING A ROCK , THE STAFF IS RUDE !!! IT SEEMS LIKE YOU'RE ORDERING FREE FOOD THE WAY THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS !!! NEVER COMING BACK !!!
Sorry, I found our meal to be mediocre at best. The clam chowder needed seasoning badly. It was very bland. The beef stew made me ill and up all night in the bathroom. My husband's filet was too peppery and very stringy.
Excellent Chili and Clam Chowder Sourdough bowls! Use to eat there when I was a little boy with my grandparents, now I am pleased to be able to bring my Wife and Daughter to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
1. Not enough people's working there 2. long line waiting for pick up order & the foods is not neatly display, soup is slightly all over at tray. And foods is not hot! 3. Not friendly 4. Long line waiting place a order also! I'm know they are busy, can do more improvements!
My absolute favorite restaurant! Thank you to the all who worked yesterday 10/8/17...y'all made our honeymoon lunch enjoyable! We ate upstairs at the bar and the staff was extremely pleasant and very professional. We will definitely be back!
I love this place, love the bread and the atmosphere. I usually bring friends visiting from outside the area and show them around. Unfortunately my friend and I decided to have clam chowder in a bread bowl. I am not exaggerating when I say that I probably got half a cup of clam chowder in the bread bowl. I did complain to the kid at the register and all he could say was ‘sorry about that’ what a ripoff!
