Took some family antiques 1800's, to be valued by who I was told was an expert in the items. I was told they would only reach £30-50 each (l knew they were worth much more) plus Bonham's fees/ charges on top!! After some research I found a private buyer, who bought the items, for a fair price no admin fees etc. So instead of the possible Bonham's proposal, and the man that valued the items even said he was no expert when I met him!!
