I took my 87 year old father to the ER this morning with the indication of a stroke. The ER team was immediately responsive to his arrival and condition, and quickly accessed the serious of his situation. I am very impressed with how they treated my father and quickly accessed the seriousness of his situation. He is resting peacefully tonight in the hospital tonight. I went to DePaul's ER last night with a broken nose when I took a swan dive out of bed. It sounds weird to say, but it was the best hospital visit ever! Everyone working was kind and personable. They made me laugh and took great care to make the visit as pleasant as possible. The wonderful atmosphere in the ER allowed me to meet fellow patients and hear their stories. I wish them and all the great people working 16 hour shifts the best.
Amazing job in the ER tonight. My 2 year old split her chin open and they knew just how to calm her down and treated her with such care. Thank you thank you thank you!
I have had many experiences at Depaul. Overall they are amazing. Pre-op nurses and ICU nurses are great! All of the doctors I have dealt with have been great too! I have had 2 trips to the ER. The first visit was fine. But the second visit was bad at first. But one of the nurses turned it around.
My husband was oversedated with pain medication while inpatient at DePaul last summer & wound up intubated & on a ventilator in the ICU for several days. If a proper medication reconciliation had been performed upon admission, I don't believe this would have happened. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone.
Great care they gave me yesterday at the ED, the meds they prescribed are working to relieve my nerve pain, thank you
I work there for 11 year and I have still have good friends that still work there.
Received the best care by all the staff here! The night nurse took care of me as if she was my mom.. Everyone was kind and sweet from the moment I walked in the door until I was discharged and rolled out in a wheelchair to my dad's car.. My next surgery I will be having here at DePaul and I pray for the same great care... God Bless all the wonderful nurses and staff..
