I had a very poor experience with Mark and Julie Bestford. Dissatisfied with their workmanship and unable to get any positive response from the business owners I employed an independent marine surveyor to inspect their work. He described their work as appalling and declared the yacht unsafe due to defective steering and thru hull fittings on top of a poorly fitted deck, failed veneering and very poor finishing etc. etc. Despite being members of the British Marine Federation they have refused to enter mediation. I asked Mark and his team to service my boat. It all had to be done remotely as I couldn't be around for the drop off etc but he and his team were wonderful. They arranged for the boat to be picked up from the sailing club, did all the repairs needed, including ordering parts from the manufacturer and then helped me trailer it up for the return journey. I feel like I have a new boat and they were excellent - really professional. Thank you.
