Thank you for working things out so that "GUS", precious boxer fur-kid of Michelle Tigard Kammerer could get the life-support that he needed to have a chance to be treated for aspiration. If Blue Pearl is the only place that has a ventilator, then someone there should really know how it functions, and how to operate it. I would think it's part of competencies in a veterinary emergency care facility. Nobody should have to go through what they did today to save their dog. Don't go here unless you have unlimited funds. If your pet needs euthanasia, your vet can do it. I think the whole deal is a fraud. How can you be happy to spend thousands of dollars just to be told that your pet needs to be euthanized? My suggestion is that if your pet needs really specialized care, take your pet to UT Vet School. Ask your regular vet to set up an appointment at UT. A great professional vet clinic. Had to use it for my 18 yr old JRT when it was time for him to go "Over the Rainbow." Made a very sad experience by taking care of everything, cremation etc. highly recommend.
