For almost two centuries the hotel has offered hospitality to locals and visitors alike. It began life in 1816 as a simple boarding house for summer visitors to one of America's earliest seaside resorts. Its owner, Thomas H. Hughes, called his new boarding house "The Big House". The food, service and ambiance are perfect. We loved our initial brunch so much that we kept coming back for more and were not disappointed.
Always a fantastic breakfast. Best we have ever had!
Great food, great waiter service, sat outside in nice provate area - only draw back was initial long wait to be greeted at hostess station. Will visit again
Our service was good and food was great and came in timely manner . Some of the staff seemed on edge a little while others seemed pissed about something . Just seen a lot of dirty looks not towards guest but each other maybe it's just late in the season and no one wanted to be there . We did have a kid that decided to flip out and have a melt down right when our food arrived my wife had to leave with her and the staff seemed accommodating as best they could .
Its in a hallway? . . . Drinks & apps came quick BUT main coarse took forever. I had the NY strip - cooked correctly but was tough as hell. Way overpriced ! Most likely won't go back . . . sorry to say.
Had breakfast it was ok I guess coffee was like tar had to get 3 small pictures of cream and hot water to tone it down
Had a great dinner outside with a great waitress, food was good and Congress hall is a great hotel. Would recommend to anyone.
