About this business
For almost two centuries the hotel has offered hospitality to locals and visitors alike. It began life in 1816 as a simple boarding house for summer visitors to one of America's earliest seaside resorts. Its owner, Thomas H. Hughes, called his new boarding house "The Big House". We love the Blue Pig! We never miss an opportunity to stop in each time we come down to Cape May. We have only ever loved the food, service, and atmosphere! �

I always dine at The Blue Pig while in Cape May & this was no exception. This was our second bisit this week. We were disappointed this visit. The Salads & Steak came out all at the same time & it would not all fit at our tiny table. So lits of shuffeling began and the waiter asked if we wanted our Steaks to go under the heat lamp. We said Nooooo ! Also our Beet & Pecan salad had no Pecans.
