Too many doctors/residents involved. It seemed none of them communicated with each other. When my father was transferred there for inpatient rehab his health declined severely we had to demand a transfer and died the following day. I wouldn’t go there if it was the closet hospital. Still very upset with the shawdy reckless care my father received. Blake hospital, you failed my father!

My care there was Excellent
Arrived at the ER at 3pm with my 82 year old father that has dementia, never got admitted to a room until 12:30 am! Waited 91/2 hours!!!! The staff are insensitive and rude ! The ER and it’s restrooms are filthy!
Bad behavior of Nurses and Nurse Aides. Employees should treat patients the way they'd like to be treated if laying in that bed. We patients don't like being at the hospital as much as employees don't like being there. Their ( most of them) attitudes towards patients show through that they aren't happy with their jobs.
Worst healthcare provided you can imagine. I wrote CEO a letter explaining what his business did and all I got was a letter from a department head saying they were improving training in this matter. They still billed me full price and provided service at a 25% rate. Never trust my health to them again. Went to Manatee for this same procedure last month and they were a 1000 times better.
My 11 year old sister was in with a Possible Life threatening situation. because of Dr. Ritchie’s clinical expertise, she recognized immediately that she needed to be transferred to a higher level care hospital. The Nurses (Ed, Heather, Kelly, Jayme and Jessie)did a great job taking care of her. She is doing well at All Childrens Hospital. If it wasn’t for this great team and excellent treatment, I may not have my sister here today. This is why we choose Blake Medical Center.
This hospital had 5 stars until today. Suppose to be released today but need to stay in the hospital one more night because someone dropped the ball and didn’t make a appointment to change out a wound vac! I am very disappointed!! Why is it I needed to request to see our Case Worker after a 2 1/2 week stay?? Should she be working with us from day one??? The Board of Directors will be hearing my complaints.
Very disappointed. I have been here since 6pm yesterday. I have had no answers at all. 24 hrs and I havnt seen a doctor. Not to mention the pee pad laying on the floor right now from another patient.
