I was admitted into Blake on December 11, 2019. It was the worst hospital stay of my life. I spent two nights in room 211B. The hospital staff screwed around with my medication. As a result of this, I did not get any sleep. The pillows and blankets on the bed were the absolute worst. The bed alarm was totally unnecessary. I was given endless cups of water which resulted in horrendous diarrhea. Using the plastic urinal during my stay was not without mishap. Be very careful going to this hospital! I am not for posting negative comments but I feel that I must say something. This has been a terrible experience. The care my Uncle has gotten is the most neglecting I have experienced in my entire life. My Uncle has been hospitalized for over 48 hours. They never bothered to feed him for over 24 hours because no one put in a dietary order. They have not given him any hygienic care. No toothbrush and the same blankets. No hand sanitizer to use after he uses the urinal. They removed the... read more
My mother has been discharged and no one will tell me when or where despite my having her passcode. Today marks two weeks she has been both in ICU and on 4 East. No one ever contacted me to update me on her condition, diagnosis or prognosis. And now my mother is missing.
Lack of staff communication and treatment of patients and family members is inexcusable. Please don’t bring your loved ones to this hospital. The nursing staff does the best they can but are clearly uninformed and understaffed.

Worst experience here. No communication between nurses and doctors. No sense of urgency. Many of the staff are extremely rude and have no bedside manner. Would never recommend this hosptial
