After reading several reviews regarding the change made to the traditional Nucoa margarine I have to agree, IT STINKS!!! And I will no longer be using the product. I hope the new owners, Smart Balance, reads these reviews because they are losing business. It appears to me that they put Smart Balance margarine out with the Nucoa label on it. Not a good move if you ask me. Like others I would really like the old product back.
I can not beleive a company would screw up a fabulous product so badly. Our Nucoa has to come back. I will never buy it again. All of my Thanksgiving dinner was ruined. I am embarassed because I have always been the one to make everything and after using the new buttery sticks, I did not like the taste of ANY of my own food. I had a Christmas dinner on the weekend and I was not going to cook, but my daughter had 2 1/2 sticks of Nucoa Margarine and I used it. We joked about how she had two gold bars in her refrigerator! I have been using Nucoa since it came on the market. In trying to make our ChexMix recipe yesterday it became a total DIASTER.i SPENT $50.00 on mixed nuts alone THEN HAD TO TOSS EVERYTHING. YOU SHOULD PAY DOUBLE TO ALL OF US WITH RUINED CHRISTMAS GIFTS.
We want my nucoa back please. the new stuff called buttery sticks suck. It ruins every thing you put it in. Ruined two batches of fudge they went into the trash just as did the nuoca. PLEASE BRING BACK NUCOA GET RID OF THE BUTTERY STICKS
And that's exactly where they wound up along with the baked goods runied by them. They are horrible and are not fit to use. I haven't found anything even a little bit close to a replacement. I have hardly baked since Nucoa margarine became extinct.

Actually this "new" Nucoa "buttery margarine" gets MINUS 5 stars from me, I had to choose one star but it does not deserve even that. It appears to no longer be dairy free and no longer makes that claim on the box. It tastes awful! I will not be buying any more Nucoa until they change it back to the way it was! NO NUCOA!
Dear Gfa Brands, I have been a loyal Nucoa user for over 40 years. I was curious when I went to make breakfast for my family and the Nucoa didn't melt quite right in the pan. I was very dissappointed when the scrambled eggs stuck to the pan (which they never did when I had previously used Nucoa). And I was extremely disappointed when the finished product didn't have the familiar flavor that characterized Nucoa. This situation reminds me of the time Coca-Cola changed their recipe. Ick !!!! I loved how this "tasted like butter" spread melted on my morning toast. No more. I kept thinking it was my imagination--until I googled "Nucoa change". Please bring back the original--I will toss the remaining sticks--bad calories!
