accidentally used buttery sticks for my potato soup. i've used nucoa for years - i couldn't eat it - threw it away - has zero taste. bring back my nucoa. i'm forced to go elsewhere
I'd give this new Nucoa recipe a zero if it was included in the ratings box. I don't know why they changed the recipe. It was fine the way it was and I can't cook with it anymore either. Nothing tastes good with the new recipe. Please put it back the way it was. In fact, I used to make honey butter to put on our corn bread, but now with the new recipe, the honey won't incorporate into the butter. It keeps eeparating. I won't buy it anymore until the recipe is changed back to the original recipe. It's a waste of money.
I will never use "no-coa" again after using it for at least 60 years. It has no flavor and is more like crisco and texture makes it not melt on warm toast and the color is inconsistant. I also used it because frying with it kept things from burning easily, now it doesn't help. I will now use another margarine until nucoa goes back to it's long time makings
My family and I have been using Nucoa for a very long time. I'm a fan of change...however, in this case, it was a mistake to "reformulate" the margarine. I would vote to have you change it back. Let us take care of our health. We can manage just fine. We will not be buying Nucoa anymore. It tastes terrible and as many of your reviewers have commented, it doesn't melt and it DOES burn. No star rating as far as I'm concerned.
That should have been no stars, by the way...got away from me.
Finished up my stash of the old Nucoa in the freezer. Saw the change on the new box, but thought I would give it a try. The cookie recipe I have been making over 30 years turned out terrible- had to add too much flour and the 'crisp' fine crumb is gone. The cookies are downright tough. A big waste of ingredients and of my time. Will NEVER buy it again. Our local store still makes REAL margarine, so hope they continue, or will have to use butter for all my baking.
What in the world did you do to a once great product? It taste and feels like some kind of wax that sticks to roof of your mouth and has no taste to it at all. I also agree with others you have to scrub it off of your utinsels because it sticks to everything never melting. What a shame you had to ruin a once great product. I will now have to find something else to try and take its place not very happy about this after all have been using nucoa for the last 50 years. As for your rating I would rate it a minus minus and believ... read more
What were you thinking..... this stuff is so bad I wouldn'y grease a bearing with it. We have been using Nucoa for our entire 37 years of marriage. My wife would not use anything else.... thanks to you; no more cookies, no more french toast, no more so many things I cannot list them all. Trans fats are not bad in moderation so get off looking out for my heath.. I do just fine on my freedong to choose. We buy Nucoa on sale and stock up... we just ran out and bought a bunch of the new stuff... oh my gosh... so bad, so bad. Bri... read more
Please bring back the old-fashioned Nuccoa margarine. I am unable to locate it in Florence, OR. It was PERFECT for baking.
