About this business

Housed in an 18th century granary, this elegant, old brick restaurant Bistro Romano has been a Philadelphia dining mainstay since 1988. Located in the historic Society Hill district, it is a favorite of the local media and ranks amongst the area's top restaurants. The Smoked Chicken Ravioli and the Veal Rosini are two of the menu's more popular entrees. On weekends, diners can enjoy cocktails in its piano bar, or for a change of pace, take part in its acclaimed Mystery Theater.

Oops we could hot to wait to take the picture of the Bistro to Go chicken thigh dinner. When we plated it the aroma was too good so we could not wait. What a nice combination of tastes! The chicken thighs were moist and so flavor able with the mushroom sauce over it. The beans has a nice barbecue grill taste, surprising. The potatoes were done and perfectly creamy. Enjoyed the sauce there also. Hats off to Chef Mike. Jim and Mary Beth

They offered delivery to the suburbs and we jumped at the chance to enjoy their food. Had the Friday fish special and the tuna was incredible. Cold saffron seafood salad was loaded with seafood all cooked perfectly. And chocolate olive cake was the perfect ending. Best take out food we've had while staying at home. Looking forward to ordering again and hopefully in the restaurant soon.

Amazing meal purchased for our daughter’s stay at home rehearsal dinner. I was extremely pleased with the courteous assistance provided in placing my order. But most of all the couple was very pleased with the wonderful preparation of the various (and there were a few) dishes ordered. Can’t wait to visit when we can actually dine in!!

Exceptional high quality cuisine! All pastas are house made and the flavors of the dishes are distinct and delicious! I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough! I’m very discriminating and the staff, management & chef take great pride in consistently providing standout food from appetizers to entrees to dessert! Standout quality and flavors. Great portions and a very good wine list!!!
