I recommend this place not only great experience but my son completed the bike academy. From not being able to ride a bike, in four days Adam and Gemma taught my austic son to ride. At the end of the 4 sessions parents are asked to come 15 mins early so we can see what the children have learnt and they give individual feedback to parents so we can carry on the process of them gaining confidence and areas where that child may need abit more practice with certain things. Dropped in after my chainring failed mid ride, the mechanic (Adam) managed to fix my bike enough for me to get home and diagnosed the issue. Friendly and thoughtful, I couldn't rate them highly enough
Popped into Birdie Bikes on Saturday to buy a new basket for my bike. When I asked if they could fit it, they said yes, then pointed out that my tyres were wearing out. I didn't feel it was a hard sell, just a friendly point of concern. I asked if they could fix them there and then, and they did. Really good value and when they did the work they mended my kick stand at no extra charge. It just felt like a really decent trustworthy place, and I have been recommending them to all my friends.
Had a bike fit by Ryan yesterday and raced today and it felt like a dream on the bike. No more saddle soreness and felt like a bullet. Would recommend.
Local, honest, straightforward and professional bike shop. Built a bike from a box of bits for me for an excellent price. Bike goes like a train, a Maglev! Highly recommend!
