I was denied donation because I was less than 5 minutes late and one of the staff members said that there is a two minute acception to make it to your appointment on Friday’s. What is really the point of that? People are trying to get a donation in before the weekend and the two minute window is worthless especially if someone is racing to get to their appointment
Not efficient and not enough staff. Sat in a chair for 30 minutes almost waiting to get stuck so could donate and my appointment was for 640 not 7am
I’ve been donating off and on for nearly 3 years, I’ve dealt with techs of all sorts but today was a first. Bad experience with a tech who again had zero professionalism which started the downward spiral of a visit. Nurses have major attitude problems, staff will talk about clients in front of clients. RecommendedSteve, Searrie (sp?) and staff made our first experiences awesome! Even though it took a while (which they warned us up front), it was an enjoyable experience! They really showed they cared and accommodated us wonderfully. Can't wait to be back for round 2! Thanks St. Peter's Biolife staff :)
My husband is disabled and in a wheelchair. He has Cerebral Palsy. He just tried to go donate plasma at BioLife in Burleson and was turned away because they don’t have the proper accommodations for someone with disabilities. They said they don’t have a scale to weigh him on or an exam table low enough for him to transfer himself to. This is discrimination and I want to make everyone aware of their lack of respect for disabled people. This should NOT be tolerated! The current wait for donation is absolutely ridiculous. I've been donating for over a year now and I've never experienced what I'm experiencing now. What used to take about an hour to do is now taking 2 to 3 hours. You have less staff but are still taking appointments as if you are fully staffed and every chair available. The money is nice but not worth the wait. You don't even have the space to accommodate everyone waiting but you have 35 or so empty chairs not being used for donors for no good reason. I spent a total of two and a half hours on Tuesday night. It took over an hour to get bed to donate. I know we are all here by choice but please try to be respectful of our time. I have also been calling all day and cannot get through to someone to make an appointment for a physical. this cannot be done online either.
Waited 45 minutes for a bed!!! Only THREE sections open on a Saturday morning!!! This is NOT respectful of my time! You expect me to abide by your 10 minute window around my appointment time then YOU make me wait!! Plus, a manager was SITTING in the office instead of helping!!! RIDICULOUS!!
I’m here now just got hooked up after 2 hour wait. Now another hour donating. I saw at least 8 people leave while I was in line outside. Way too many people here and they are understaffed. It is disrespectful of my time so am considering stopping this. The money is nice but I’m too busy to spend 4 hours including drive time for it.
