The main reason we have been using this vet. Is because we can't find another in town that takes the pound vouchers. This last visit. Will definitely be the LAST for all my animals. My danes and Saint bernard are loyal dogs. Only let's us lead them. When training. I always use a pinch collar. Well was time for my Female dane to be spayed. We had excellent care at Big Country Vet Clinic. Our family cat Rico (age 16) had a stroke and a seizure. Dr Archie and his team nursed him back to health. They watched him over night for 2 days. He is home healing now. I can’t express enough gratitude for them taking such good care of him.
This vet clinic does not specialize in Doberman Ear Crops. They do generic crops and leave a lof of bell (cartilage) which should’ve been removed at the base of ear to give appearance of tapered ear. The cuts were smooth and so was the stitching, but i DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for Dobies.
THE STAFF AT BIG COUNTRY VET WAS EXCEPTIONAL....VERY SWEET AND COMPASSIONATE ABOUT MY SASSY ....THEY ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND REASSURED ME THEY WOULD DO WHATEVER IT TOOK TO GET MY FUR BABY BACK TO BEING HEALTHY...SHE HAS ADDISONS DISEASE AND WAS IN A CRITICAL STATE...KEPT HER OVER NIGHT AND WHEN I PICKED UP TO GO HOME SHE WAS SO ALERT AND READY TO GO.... THANK YOU BIG COUNTRY.....I HAVE MY BABY GIRL BACK....SASSY !!!

I like the fact that the vets rotate between our local vet clinic in Anson and the Abilene clinic. I got an appointment the same day as a new patient. The tests that were needed were scheduled for the next morning in Abilene. They have a wide array of specialists and were able to get my dog in to see the heart specialist in just 2 days. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. The drop- off and pick-up system works well. I wish I had found Big Country Vet Clinic long ago!
Very friendly staff and affordable. My sweet furbaby wasn't sure about the "curbside pickup" due to Covid19, but when she came back out, the tech was her new best friend! They answered all of my questions and had all the information I requested ready when we arrived.
