Good vet -- professional and pleasant and reasonably priced We have four cats, all of whom have been treated at this clinic in the last few years. In that time, we've found Dr. Kim to be professional and pleasant, and, more importantly, he cured our cats' illnesses. He also is very reasonably priced. We recommend Dr. Kim very highly. I understand from a couple of other postings here that there are other opinions. I can't speak for others, of course, and I understand the disappointment one feels when a pet doesn't respond to ... read more
Sad and Troubling I am very sad with the performance of Dr. Kim and I am no longer going to take my dogs there. I first took my dogs there a year ago to have their annual shots and a teeth cleaning. I should've known he was a quack then because one of my dogs permanently lost hair in the injection site and had trouble breathing from the anesthetic tube. I just went there a year after that for their annual shots. When I mentioned the fur loss the doctor chalked it up to being a breed problem. He then noticed that my dogs need... read more
WONDERFUL! All my three dogs were Dr.Kim's patient since 1990. When one of my baby had vomiting problem no other vet could find out what was wrong with him in New York city when we were there briefly returned to L.A , Dr. Kim recognized his problem instantly. I recommended Dr.Kim to all my neighbors who think of their dogs as their own child and they thanked so much. Dr.Kim is well experienced and knowledgeable charges very reasonable price.
Excellent I recommend this vet because he is understanding, patient, and answers all your pet related questions. He has to be brusque because he has lots of patients. He handles animals well and he knows exactly what he's doing. The price is decent and the service is top-notch. He's been in this business for a long time and I respect him for the service that he gives the animals.
Botched Abortion turns into renal failure.. I brought my cat to this clinic back in 1993 when she was only 10 months old and pregnant. This cat is now 14 years and now has to have a NON functioning and INFECTED kidney removed because the Dr at Beverly Virgil Animal Hospital erroneously clampled off one of her ureters during the spay surgery. This has put my cat at tremendous risk. I DO NOT recommend this veterinary pratice to anyone who loves their animal.
If your pet is sick, do not go here............... The vets recently misdiagnosed and almost killed my dog. They told us to come and pick up his file and get him to a hospital. Now they are harassing us to bring his file back. We found other people's pet's blood work in our pets'file. Thank God our dog was saved. Space does not allow for me to tell how bad these vets are. Hopefully this will save some lives.
Economical and Brusque The doctor reminded me of many physicians I have dealt with. He is professional and somewhat personable. He is not rude, just very matter of fact. He seems to be in a rush to get onto the next patient. You don't get the idea that he really loves dogs. If I was dealing with a potential tragedy with my pet, I am not sure that he is the vet I would use. I want to patronize professionals in my area, but I am tempted to take a drive to the nicer part of town to see how the vets' social skills are over there... read more
Possibly the worst vet in L.A. I came here because my puppy's mother's owner was a regular. The prices are decent but the vet has no idea how to handle animals. Also, after every visit, my maltese would have a negative reaction to the shots (i.e. throw up, shakes). I am looking for a new vet because I cannot trust this clinic to neuter my baby.
