Good vet -- professional and pleasant and reasonably priced We have four cats, all of whom have been treated at this clinic in the last few years. In that time, we've found Dr. Kim to be professional and pleasant, and, more importantly, he cured our cats' illnesses. He also is very reasonably priced. We recommend Dr. Kim very highly. I understand from a couple of other postings here that there are other opinions. I can't speak for others, of course, and I understand the disappointment one feels when a pet doesn't respond to ... read more

Just terrible! Staff and all! Not only is the Dr. terrible and has no idea what he's doing, the front desk receptionist seems to be a tad slow, disinterested, and unprofessional. I took my cat for regular shots and to get de-wormed. I described the worms I saw to him and he just gave random shots without even doing a fecal exam. Needless to say, the worms are still there so I guess out of all that randomness, he still didn't hit the target.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING HERE Do NOT go to this vet. I will never ever recommend any sane person to ever pay a visit here unless they want to hurt their own pet. I never bother to review anything online, but this needed to be said here to warn other pet owners who love their pets. The vet is not only rude, but just simply terrible at his job. He's left my tiny 5 pound dog full of staples to sew up the incision of the stomach muscles inside after an operation to spay my dog. He doesn't even know how to stitch up incisions p... read more

AMAZING Vet. Dr. Kim is the most compassionate DVM that I have taken my dogs to. Another clinic tried to put my dog down with the thought he had Parvo. Dr. Kim proved them wrong, and didnt even charge me for the visit. He talks to my dogs, and loves them as much as I do. My dogs even love to see him, even during a digital rectal exam (men, we know how uncomfortable that can be). He has even worked with the homeless that have brought their pets in (without charge). For the critics, I challenge them to work with patients that ... read more

WONDERFUL! All my three dogs were Dr.Kim's patient since 1990. When one of my baby had vomiting problem no other vet could find out what was wrong with him in New York city when we were there briefly returned to L.A , Dr. Kim recognized his problem instantly. I recommended Dr.Kim to all my neighbors who think of their dogs as their own child and they thanked so much. Dr.Kim is well experienced and knowledgeable charges very reasonable price.

A Welcoming Place We've been taking our pets to Beverly Virgil since 1997. Dr. Kim is thorough in his medical care and has always treated our pets (and us) with the utmost compassion, kindness, and respect. He recently performed surgery on our older dog's gums, extracting 12 teeth as well. He made sure we were well-equipped with antibiotics, pain meds, and an oral rinse for her recovery at home, and he of course had her back in for a check-up the following week as well. (She smells so much better!!) Prices at Beverly Virgil ... read more

Possibly the worst vet in L.A. I came here because my puppy's mother's owner was a regular. The prices are decent but the vet has no idea how to handle animals. Also, after every visit, my maltese would have a negative reaction to the shots (i.e. throw up, shakes). I am looking for a new vet because I cannot trust this clinic to neuter my baby. PROS: price CONS: difficult parking, bad handling

Botched Abortion turns into renal failure.. I brought my cat to this clinic back in 1993 when she was only 10 months old and pregnant. This cat is now 14 years and now has to have a NON functioning and INFECTED kidney removed because the Dr at Beverly Virgil Animal Hospital erroneously clampled off one of her ureters during the spay surgery. This has put my cat at tremendous risk. I DO NOT recommend this veterinary pratice to anyone who loves their animal. PROS: NONE CONS: Bad bedside manner and poor medical care.

Sad and Troubling I am very sad with the performance of Dr. Kim and I am no longer going to take my dogs there. I first took my dogs there a year ago to have their annual shots and a teeth cleaning. I should've known he was a quack then because one of my dogs permanently lost hair in the injection site and had trouble breathing from the anesthetic tube. I just went there a year after that for their annual shots. When I mentioned the fur loss the doctor chalked it up to being a breed problem. He then noticed that my dogs need... read more
