Pros- The food is amazing, the staff is even better. I consider myself a breakfast connoisseur, and this is one of my favorite spots! The Maryland is our favorite. Cons- there is usually a wait, but I can’t really list this as a con. They’re popular, so it comes with the territory. Plus, it’s located in the middle of a nice area with lots of shoppes to explore while you wait. My one real complaint: The bathroom situation is horrible. One single bathroom for a breakfast place? Solid and consistent food and fun atmosphere. Decent service and I can bring my dog and sit outside and people watch on 4th street in Berkeley, amusing. Sadly Bette herself has passed, she was such a colorful presence. One of my regular diner spots. Give it a try, it’s a Berkeley institution.
Fast service, Great food & our waitress was the sweetest!!
