I don't normally write reviews. I had to take my beloved Liberty here. Unfortunately she didn't make it but the staff there did all that they could and were very compassionate and helpful during last her last few days.

They don't care about your pets, only how you can pay your bill. My dogs, myself and my daughter all went to emergency for carbon monoxide poising and while I was in the ER I called to check on my dogs only to be told how much my bill was. When I said I didn't have enough to cover this, mind you after midnight they said I should contact family members and it must be paid to get my dogs. I called again at 6:30 am to check on them again only to be told on five occasions I had to pay this bill when picking up my dogs. I truly f... read more

Our beloved dog Maggie is alive today because of Berks Animal Emergency Services. We took her in Sunday because she was bloated and lethargic. We had a Monday appt with our primary vet and had we waited, she would be dead. Within a short time of our arrival, she was diagnosed and in surgery. Monday she had a slight seizure of which we were promptly notified. We went to visit her Monday evening and were treated kindly and given as much time as we needed / wanted with her. No incidents Tuesday and we picked her up Tuesday even... read more

I had to take my chihuahua here when my Dane opened her neck ......at the time there was a possibility my Dane was pregnant but we weren't sure.....well all the vet did was lecture me that those 2 dogs could not live together......isn't the treatment of the dog more of a priority?? Well she was pregnant and here we are .....2 years later and they are still living together with no problems! Dogs get hormonal too when pregnant.....shouldn't a vet know that??? Needless to say I will drive an hour to another place I found then g... read more

This place SUCKED!!! They only nice people were the front desk people. We took our Great Dane there with an emergency bloat. She needed surgery immediately. They told us there was a fee to walk in the door, okay fine, but then Dr.Noble told us it would be about $6700 to have the surgery and everything for our dog. Obviously just have gotten engaged we did not have that money AT ALL. So my poor dog who is continuing to bloat and in pain is laying there and they told us they can't do anything or start anything until we pay. Mi... read more

Our beagle passed away on the end of October 2015. 14 months earlier, we took him here because he ate something he shouldn't have eaten and got sick as a result of it. The veterinarian, a young lady, wanted to euthanize him then and there, because "He's clearly suffering right now!" We declined and took him somewhere else. If you look at my profile pic, you will see him exactly a year after that ordeal. Yea, he sure is suffering isn't he? I would give this place one star, but the one good thing that came out of this was we f... read more

I've been here 2 times with both of my dogs. Both times the only thing they said they could do was surgery. The first time my dog's xrays of his intestines showed they were a little inflamed which is why he had bloody diarrhea possibly caused by something he ingested but the vet said exploratory surgery would be good even though they might not even find anything with that. The second time was when my dog had a splinter in his pawpad. I just didn't have enough hands to pull it out at home while holding him still. The vet said... read more
