I have been using Benton’s for years. I’m always happy knowing they are on hand to help if my car fits into marques they service. At one point I had a VW Golf that I thought needed new pads, had booked it in for the work among other jobs. They didn’t fit pads because they weren’t needed - how many garages would do that! Had an emergency with my Audi when on holiday in Ely. Called Benton to see whether they could advise and have a quick look. After explaining the situation and that we were on holiday for 2 days the receptionist looked things up and said I can fit you in in 2 weeks - had she actually listened to me! They showed absolutely no interest in helping. Went to another garage (B&T Motors) who bent over backwards to help and sort things out
Finally found a garage that fixes what needs fixing, doesn’t have a mental pricing structure and calls you when they say they will. But above all they DONT DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND CHARGE YOU FOR THE PRIVILEGE!!! Took my car in to have something fixed that a previous garage broke as well as some other bits and it was all sorted in less than a few hours.
