I moved to NY state a year ago after using Dr. Fiss for 13 years. I was in Chicago in October and had an appointment with him and had planned to see him in April but had to cancel that trip due tyo a death in the family. Dr. Fiss is fantastic and has a great "bedside manner". Although I had very little major work done ( as I recall 1 crown only and gum surgery with a periodontist he recommended) - he is full of integrity. I highly recommend Dr. Fiss. He is not only a perfectionist, but, also has excellent communication skills. Dr. Fiss walked me through my entire procedure (Porcelain Veneers) and ensured that I understood what it entailed. He also called me after the appointment to make sure I was ok. I have been a patient of Dr Fiss since he first became a dentist in Chicago. I was left after Viet Nam with many dental problems. One by one Dr Fiss found a way to fix it. When I needed implants he took care of everything including figuring out a way that I could afford to pay for them as I am not a rich guy. Both my husband and I have been patients for many years and have been very satisfied with Dr. Fiss and his staff. My husband has been snoring loudly for all of our 24 years of marriage. A few months ago Dr Fiss suggested a TAP, a mouth guard, to stop the snoring. We were both uncertain that this would help, after other atempts to stop the problem. Well, we are sold on the TAP. Dr. Fiss has worked hand in hand with my periodontist on the front of my mouth which has had extensive work. Dr. Fiss even came to My Periodontist's office the day my previous implants were being removed to put my temporary. He wanted to be sure that the work looked good and did not charge for that, but did it because he was proud of his work and I was extremely anxious about not having front teeth. I have had the privaliage of knowing Dr. Fiss in a professional manner for the last two years by working in his office as a temp hygienist. I always enjoy going into this office. He provides a relaxing environment where everything just flows well. Recently he also fittend me for a TAP appliance, aka snore gaurd. Dr. Fiss replaced 6 veneers that were poorly done by my previous dentist. The old veneers were badly discolored and unattractive, and my teeth had started to decay beneath them. My experience with Dr. Fiss was positive and painless, and I would highly recommend him to any friend considering cosmetic dental procedures. I am no longer embarrassed to show my teeth when I smile!
