I'm a transplant from CA and after intensive search of orthopaedic surgeons in the Austin area and settled on Dr McArthur. I am very pleased with his personality, bio, care and ease of interaction with me. I was primarily focused on knee surgery expertise and he fit my expectations.
Dr McArthur and Texas Orthopedics have been awesome for me and my Bi lateral total knee replacements. Dr. McArthur listens and explains well. I never feel rushed at my appointments.

Dr McArthur was very concise and direct in his examination and possible recommendations on his diagnosis and treatment plan his explanations very easy to understand and what could be considered as possible procedures or treatments he also explained all the benefits of surgery and all the possible negatives of treatments
I already had a knee replaced when I became Dr. McArthur’s patient. I thought the other knee wouldn’t last long but Dr. McArthur has held it off for a couple years using SynVisc. I’m still dancing.
Very little wait time. Personable and caring staff and the doctor was very accommodating to my scheduling needs
My mom, 97, sees Dr. McArthur every 3 months, for a steroid shot in her hip. (He has also treated her for a shoulder infection, from an old replacement). Dr. McArthur is very caring and always sympathetic to her pain. He is meticulous in getting the shot in the right spot, giving her much needed relief. Other doctors have failed, so she never expected this outcome! Our thanks to the doctor and his kind staff!
