Visited this morning after wonderful receptionist helped with difficulty getting an appointment. Saw Dr Findlay who was so caring, listened thoroughly with interest, asked questions, checked physically and made referrals to be sure. Felt very validated and relieved.
My dad has been a patient at this practice for 50 years. As he is getting older I deal with all his appointment's and health issues and I must say everyone in this surgery from the reception staff, secretary's and doctors are amazing.The new appointment system they have just introduced makes it a lot easier to get appointment's as well.
Went in requesting an urgent fit to fly letter after major emergency surgery. Receptionist told me to speak to aviation authority to get letter as they can’t advise me on if I can fly or not( asif they have access to my medical records?) Had to then contact my surgeon in a different hospital to get this letter when it all could have been done through GP. I can not get an appointment been trying for 2 weeks ! All apps have gone at 8 in morning. Before phone even rings it’s a joke so now I’m going without medication that says on packet do not suddenly stop speak to gp ..
The manager of this surgery has zero compassion. Gas lights you and calls you a liar when you tell her you’re too sick to go a walk in centre and you already called 111 who assessed me as needing urgent care. She then pulled a GP appointment out of thin air for the next morning for me as I wasnt allowing her to get away with not giving me my GP call back that 111 requested I needed. I saw Dr Rankin today.
