The setting for Bella Vita is terrific. It is pleasant to sit outside and look at Geist on a summer evening. The food is generally pretty good, but nothing to rave about. The service is pretty consistently poor.
Gone down hill – Admittedly, going out for a meal on a holiday is hit or miss, however, no effort was made to make Mothers Day brunch a special event for us mothers. The last time we dined here, it was a wonderful experience, so when we were looking for a Mother's Day brunch option, we decided to go. What a mistake. I wonder if it under new management. Heartbroken Bride – I had been to this place a few times and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I decided to book my reception in the balcony and had visited and spoke with the owner, Shelly, may times on the phone and in person. This evening my fiancee and I brought 3 friends to "show off" the place and to drop off our deposit check for the reception. We figured it might be busy, so we made a reservation for 7 pm. rude manager, poor service – My husband and I continued to go back for sentimental reasons, despite receiving poor service each time. This last time however, when we had mentioned to the manager that the wait staff seemed overwhelmed by our party ( 1waiter for 20 people) and an additional 2-3 tables, the manager told us, that's the way we do it and if we don't like it, feel free to not come back . Bella Vita Ain't So Bella – Since the majority of this essay focuses on the actual service, I?ll drop my stabs at lofty prose and get down to a brief digression: The food wasn?t bad.
