I have been a HUGE fan of Bears from back when they were initially starting doing just catering gigs. live in Middletown and normally drive to the Windsor location. Two consecutive Wednesday I have gone up well before closing specifically for burnt ends (theirs are the best). One Wednesday it was a 10 minute or greater wait for them. Best all around BBQ in CT. The meats are flavorful and abundant, the Mac n Cheese is the cheesiest and the Beans, spicy good.

I had to travel from Michigan to give it a try. By far the best BBQ I have ever had. Both moist and flavorful. You won't be disappointed.
We ate at The Big E. The very best pulled porky I've ever had. Chunky not stringy. Moist not dry. The best ever, and I've lived in the Mid-west, The West ,and The South.
I have eaten in some of the best BBQ joints that KC or Texas has to offer. This BBQ is as good or better than anything i have ever eaten. The Bear is a KC guy transplanted here, so he has the genetics if anyone wants to question his authenticity. All you have to do is try it to know the BBQ here is the real deal too. Makes it damn hard for me build my own fire when I can be here in 10 minutes and taste it all.
My wife and I both loved the place I got the ribs could only eat half they had a lot of meat on them and the best favor I ever had my wife had the pulled pork sandwich with spicy sauce she said it was the best she ever had are sides were great had fries coleslaw broccoli salad and beans highly recommend eating here you will not be disappointed and you will return
Absolutely a fantastic restaurant, a tin tray for your food, meat, is ALL different flavors, requires no sauce, though they have a few choices) the rub they put on and smoke with, is amazing. The burnt brisket ends are my absolute favorite. All the sides are flavorful and fantastic, I had the corn bread with honey butter, red mashed potatoes and broccoli salad, I will be back ANY time I'm in the area, that will 100% be my go to spot.
