I've had BBQ all over the country and I was genuinely surprised to find that some of the best BBQ I've had in my 38 years could be found in Connecticut. Everything I've tried there exceeded my expectations and the friendly environment made for a great experience.
I've had bears now prolly about 15 times! Actually just had it tonight for dinner with my fiancee and two of our best friends! Had an amazing meal and everything was as close to prefect you can make it! I couldn't believe when I saw some negative reviews! I've always had an amazing experience at Bears! I also always look forward to coming back!... 5 stars you guys.. see you soon...ps my favorite is the bear attack... Go check it out!

This place is great! Great BBQ and the Texas sausage is delicious, but to me the mashed sweet potatoes, out of this world!!! Spacious and no parking issues (we went on motorcycles) but still plenty of parking. Defenetly will be going back. And don't forget to try the new UCONN ice cream, delish...we had the vanilla with chocolate chips and salted caramel. Oh, with their pecan pie!
Was in town yesterday for the first time for a barber expo and we came across this place to eat dinner and I can say best bbq I have ever had!!! Can't wait till next year
I go there about every two weeks. I usually get the three meat combo brisket, Texas sausage, and burnt ends. Been there many times and they have no burnt ends that really why I go, yummy!! Baked bean are the best and spices callagreens! And a cold beer that a good lunch!
Good food, expensive, gruff ordering experience, not good to their workers. Mac and Cheese is a crapshoot - it may be great, it may be hard and unchewable.
We moved to Fl from Southington at the end of February. It sucks when you realize that no barbecue places down here will hold a candle to yours. MISSING ME SOME BRISKET
I don't know how anybody could think their barbecue is anything other than exceptional. Or how they could lie and say they got food poisoning. It is the freshest food and the company is thriving. Their service is fast their portions are perfect and both locations have more than enough seating. Five stars all the way don't listen to any bad reviews because this is the best barbecue ever!!
