Beardslee Castle might seem a bit out of place in the woods near the Adirondacks, but this fine dining establishment in the Hudson Valley offers a traditional American menu with Asian and Mediterranean influences. Built in the 1860s, the castle remained a private residence until the 1940s when it opened as "The Manor" and allowed in visitors. Beardslee opened in its current incarnation in 1994. A very unique atmosphere and the filet was cut-with-a-fork tender.

My daughter had her wedding ceremony and reception at Beardslee Castle. I cannot say enough about owner Lynn and her staff, and chef! Lynn went above and beyond to make my daughter's wedding day fairytale perfect. Everything flowed perfectly, and the filet and lobster dinner was above excellent, as well as the hor'dourve's.

I've always wanted to enjoy a dinner at the Beardslee Castle and tonight I finally have the chance too. It was an amazing experience. I'd love to attend a murder mystery dinner in December
