My Daughter Gina Marie Was Hospitalized an entire week at Bayhealth/Kent, I Have heard From people who were dissatisfied with the care they received and I Was Nervous and Tense. Since the minute we came in to the Emergency Room, The Staff was Caring and Helpful With Any Questions I Had. When we were admitted, The Nurses in The 4th Floor went Above and Beyond to give Gina Marie The Care She Needed. Special Thanks To Kim, Shannon, Maddie, Tristan Kelly And Many Others!
I arrived before 11 am and ended up leaving at 8 pm because I was never seen. Took my blood and urine ( and i asked for the urine cup) and vitals a few times and that was it. Never got to see a doctor and I believe I wasn't a priority. I asked about the wait time a few times and was told I was next every time just for them to call q different person back. I watched people that came in after me leave. I'm very upset. Bay health just milked my insurance just for me to sit in the waiting room.
I have had to experience the ER as well as the stay at Bayhealth in Dover. Though the ER turnaround time is less than stellar, the professionalism of the staff is excellent. Both of my parents spent their last days at Bayhealth Dover and I could not have been happier with the friendliness and compassion that was shown to me and my brothers. Get the ER wait time under control and you will be a 5 star for sure.
