I lived in an apartment in a building for 20 years. The building was beautifully cared for by the owner. Then it became a little too much for him and he needed to sell. The new owners never introduced themselves and used Bay Property Management Group to "care" for the building. From 2021-2023, there was a rent increase of 46% in one fell swoop. Mariana Gutierrez not responsive to calls/email when tenant is late on rent. Great at collecting fees and billing the owner with high turnover costs. Not great at dealing with problem tenants and solving problems. Their maintenance people stole materials and tools from the property while it was vacant.

Between March May I asked for a virtual tour via TEAMs, DUO, or Zoom. I repeatedly was told "this is how the process works to hold, you have to pay this, the owner keeps it in good shape, and/or you have to pay that in hand." As time drew closer for me to move, I again asked for the virtual tour but only received a lease dated 5/1bwith a move in date of 5/27.
