New tenant here. I recently moved into a studio apartment in Mount Vernon that is owned by this company. I have never left a negative review in my life (who has time for that?) but my experience with this management company has honestly been so terrible that I feel the need to warn other people. I have been with Bay Management for a little over 5 years and had a very good experience with them. As a property owner, they really look out for you. I give them a 5/5 for tenant selection. They put people in to the property quickly (less than a month) that took good care of the property and paid their rent on time. I had 2 sets of tenants throughout the 5 years and I think they only had the house tenantless for 2 weeks, while they performed touch up repairs needed between tenants. I am a current resident experiencing air conditioning difficulties. I called my property manager for over 12 hours, left a voicemail on both the emergency line and direct line. Once I was successful in reaching a live person I was advised my air conditioner may not be addressed for a week or so due to the overload of the agency. I advised the rep I could certainly hire a sub-contractor as I have two children in the house, one with asthma and one with a cardiac catheter. I moved out half a year ago and it took me a while to really think about my experience with BMG and now I would like to express my thoughts. I enjoyed my apartment to a certain extent but the management was terrible and I felt compelled to provide some feedback for future tenants. Completely incompetent property managers. Doesn't do anything on time costing me, the property owner, thousands. They don't check on the properties to ensure renters aren't breaking the lease. They ignore our calls and emails for weeks. They forgot to put our house on the market when a tennant moved out costing us $4,000+. They lied to us about who we could and couldn't rent to citing fair housing laws that were wrong leading to a tenant being evicted and causing up to $10,000 worth of damage that comes out of my pocket. I would give them a zero if I could! They are slow they are rude and home owner focused. They left us with out water for four days two times and failed to address the issue so the pipes burst. Their work mentality is the definition of kicking the can and they only work with the lowest quality repair people. The company only has good reviews because they PAID for them. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! This company may well be the most unprofessional ghetto and rude management company that I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I am a small business owner that travels a lot for my work. Apparently, the fact that I work outside of Baltimore (I work remotely) caused an issue on my application.
