I am a current resident experiencing air conditioning difficulties. I called my property manager for over 12 hours, left a voicemail on both the emergency line and direct line. Once I was successful in reaching a live person I was advised my air conditioner may not be addressed for a week or so due to the overload of the agency. I advised the rep I could certainly hire a sub-contractor as I have two children in the house, one with asthma and one with a cardiac catheter. I moved out half a year ago and it took me a while to really think about my experience with BMG and now I would like to express my thoughts. I enjoyed my apartment to a certain extent but the management was terrible and I felt compelled to provide some feedback for future tenants. Pros: - the location of my apartment was convenient. - I liked my apartment - it was nice, cute, and cozy. - maintenance was always completed in a timely fashion. I would give them a zero if I could! They are slow they are rude and home owner focused. They left us with out water for four days two times and failed to address the issue so the pipes burst. Their work mentality is the definition of kicking the can and they only work with the lowest quality repair people. The company only has good reviews because they PAID for them. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! This company may well be the most unprofessional ghetto and rude management company that I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I am a small business owner that travels a lot for my work. Apparently, the fact that I work outside of Baltimore (I work remotely) caused an issue on my application. DO NOT RENT FROM BAY MANAGEMENT. They are the absolute worst. Everyone in the office is incredibly rude. They rarely respond to questions. When they suspected that someone in the building was smoking, they sent an email to all tenents threatening to do random searches. They treat you like you're living in a college dorm. When I first moved in, none of the sinks in my apartment drained properly. It took maintenance THREE MONTHS to fix it properly. We have a roommate that contacted BGE Home and had a smart thermostat installed without the consent of the property manager. They went around and directly to the landlord to get permission. The roommate then registered the smart thermostat in their name and email address and (in the middle of winter) locked all other roommates out of the controls. This roommate then set the temperature to 55 degrees. No one was able to contact BGE to revert the situation. We had to call BMG, and yell at them, and plead with them to gain back... read more

The stress of leaving Bay Mgt. was just as much as when managed by them. The whole experience was effort with time and lost revenue. Upon picking up my keys, some were not included which cost additional time, effort and money replacing. There was missing paperwork from a tenant that had lived in my unit for THREE months without paying rent to the tune of $3000K.
